We believe that through smart training you can succeed at your goals. We want to help you on your Journey to realize your true potential as an athlete, in doing so you will reach a new level of fitness.

We believe this goes far beyond a static training program because every athlete is different and therefore needs a program geared specifically to their personal situation, time available, strengths and weaknesses. We will listen to you, provide support and be flexible to build a program for you.

Let us take the guesswork out of your training. Our training programs are based on your physiology determined through field testing and the results of your workouts. Using this data we will teach you will train smart, race smart so you can finish strong. We use all the standard metrics RPE, heart rate, power to guide your workouts and take you to the next level.

  • The cornerstone of our philosophy is consistency in training with a focus on high quality workouts, doing so stresses the body so it adapts gets stronger and more efficient. This is much easier said then done, each athlete has their own strengths and weaknesses so every athlete’s training plan is different week to week.
    • Remember the goal of training is to get faster through training, are you getting faster?
    • The only way to get faster is through high quality workouts, LSD (Long Slow Distance) or junk miles will never get you faster.
  • Being successful in triathlon is much more then swim, bike and run training. To be successful you must balance training, recovery, nutrition and rest. Your weekly personalized plans will take all factors into account so you can realize the gains in your training as you expect.
  • We do this by measuring different metrics while doing field tests for swimming, biking and running. The metrics we use are; heart rate, power output and pace at your LTHR. Using these metrics we determine your optimized training zones based on your current fitness. We repeat our field tests on a regular bases to always optimize your training.

    • Training zones for the swim using intensity and T-Pace from a field test
    • Training zones on the bike using intensity, heart rate and power output based on your LTHR from a field test.
    • Training zones on the run using intensity, heart rate and pace based on your LTHR from a field test.
  • A key factor in meeting your goals is communication with your coach, only through training feedback can your coach modify your plan based on your training results. The majority of your communication is through the coaching application on this site and through email, but sometimes it’s best to pick up the phone.
  • We provide a dynamic online training plan which is designed to facilitate daily interaction with your coach. Through this application you will receive your updated weekly training plan from your coach. On a daily basis you will log your training results which your coach will use to personalize your next weeks training plan.
  • We coach athletes at all level and for all race distances from sprint to full ironman.
  • Our coaches are also athletes working to stay on the edge of training and racing. Our coaches are USA Triathlon and USA Swimming certified, we continue to study, train and race to stay on the leading edge of triathlon research and practice.
