Train Smart

Our coaching philosophy is centered around consistent high quality workouts, training smart. We don’t believe in doing endless miles and hours of training, quality is number one, the working athlete doesn’t have time for junk miles.

Simply competing in or completing a Ironman Triathlon takes commitment, decide what truly matters to you, find the courage and commit to it and do the work.  You have to believe in yourself and your commitment, there will be setbacks along the way. You shouldn’t lose focus during the troubling times, you need to stick to the plan and work with your coach.

Establish a routine and be disciplined enough to stick to it.  It is essential that you be honest with yourself about past performance and training; concentrating on what needs to happen to improve to the next level.  Don’t over think your training, remove the distractions and noise and simply follow the plan, allow us to take the guess work out of training for you.

Race Smart

  • Knowing your race week routine to put you in a peak position to be successful in the race
  • Knowing your nutrition plan for the race
  • Knowing your pacing for the race

Goals and Racing Smart

Goals should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely) work with our coaches to set goals based on your past training and performance.  It is important for an athlete to consider relative performance in addition to specific time goals.  Athletes completely prepared, are relaxed about the outcome of a event.  They are fit and focused on personal performance defined over months and years.  Having a structured plan prepared for them makes your first sprint or ironman triathlon as routine as it can be, emotionally and physically.

We believe that through smart training and smart racing you can succeed at your goals. We want to help you on your Journey to realize your true potential as an athlete, in doing so you will reach a new level of fitness and success.

It doesn’t matter what your goals are, your “Road to Kona” or your journey to complete your first sprint or ironman triathlon; set your goals, train smart, race smart and finish strong.
